It's all about sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll... Particularly Elvis Presley. Huge star power and an original plot make this movie a refreshing alternative to buying the new releases. After watching it several times, I just can't get over how absolutely hilarious the characters are. My God, a 3-day rookie prostitute (Patricia Arquette) and an Elvis obsessed slacker (Christian Slater) fall in love and are married in a matter of days. They visit an aspiring actor friend to sell a briefcase of cocaine stolen from her pimp. The friend's roomate (Brad Pitt) can't see through the clowd of smoke from his last bong hit. Mob boss (Christopher Walken) sends hitmen to find the thieves, all hell breaks loose. The drug dealer contact, aspiring actor, a failed actor and director, the mob, and about 5 cops all have one of the best shootouts , only topped in recent years by "Heat." That should be enough to make you want it in your collection.
